All our ski and board instructors are certified by the CSIA or snowboard certified by the CASI, ensuring the best possible ski and board instruction for all ages and abilities. Whether you're a child or an adult we have a program to fit your needs. Check the Ski and Board School for more detailed information.

Holiday Camps Christmas and March Break

01.  CHRISTMAS CAMP

01.1 Camp - December 27 to 30, 2010
01.2 Camp - January 2 to 5, 2012

Fee:  $250.00 (includes Time Trials on Dec 31, 2011)
Daily Schedule:  9:30 to 11:30 & 12:30 to 2:30
Four days of fun!  Camp will focus on skill development basics, race skills, mileage, prep for Time Trials and FUN!
 
02. TIME TRIALS December 31st, 2010 10:00 AM
Fee: $65.00 (fee included in 4 day camp)
Start Time:  10:00AM.  Required for all racers in Nancy Greene, K1, K2 and J programs
 
03.  CHRISTMAS FOR KIDS (Ages 3 to 12 years)
03.1  Fee $225.00 Dec 19 to 23 and/or
03.2  Fee $225.00 Dec 26 to 31
This is awesome!  Five 1 hour privates or semi-privates ski or snowboard lesson times you book at your convenience in the office (available only for the dates above).  Start them out right.  They will love it!  Get familiar with equipment, environment, sliding and fun so that the kids are anxious to get out there for the rest of the season.
 
CHRISTMAS AND MARCH BREAK
04.  CREATE YOUR OWN CAMP!
Dec 19 to 23 and/or Dec 26 to 30
Fee:  $25.00 per hour.  You select the activity, the ability, the dates and the times that work best for you!  As long as we have 3 or more that fit, we will do it!
 

Instructional ProgramsJAN 14 to FEB 19

05.  INSTRUCTOR TRAINING (Ages 14 years +)
If you are already certified or are interested in becoming certified.  
Fee:  $226.00 *** BEGINS JANUARY 21 or 22 ***
Daily Schedule:  12:30 to 2:30 Saturday OR Sunday
This 6 week program will train you and prepare you for the next level of certification courses.  You should be a competent parallel skier or snowboarder on all blue runs.

Ski Programs JAN 7 to FEB 26

07.  HEIGHTS TYKES - SKI ONLY (Ages 3 to 5 years)
Fee:  $225.00 Select Saturday OR Sunday
Daily Schedule:  10:00 to 11:30 (private or semi-private lessons available in the afternoons)
Minimum group size is 2, maximum is 5 per Instructor & Assistant
Ability:  Beginner and up.  Your child will enjoy the fun and joy of skiing matched to their ability and interest in the fun and playful environment.
 
08.  JUNIOR PROGRAM (Ages 6 to 10 years)
08.1 - 1 Day Fee:  $300.00 (Select Saturday OR Sunday)
08.2 - 2 Day Fee:  $500.00 (Saturday and Sunday)
Daily Schedule:  10:00 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 2:00
Minimum group size is 3 and maximum 8.
This program is designed for a skier level of beginner to intermediate.  Students will explore the mountain, work on skill development, safety and have fun!
 
09.  YOUTH SKI PROGRAM (ages 11 to 12 years)
09.1 - 1 Day Fee:  $300.00 (Select Saturday or Sunday)
09.2 - 2 Day Fee:  $500.00 (Saturday and Sunday)
Daily Schedule:  10:00 to 12:30 and 12:30 to 2:00.
Minimum group size is 4 and maximum 10.
This program is designed for all levels of skier in the age group covering skill development, versatility, fun and safety as well as an introduction to freestyle.  If you are a first time skier, we recommend a couple of private or semi-private lessons prior to beginning this program.

Snowboard Programs JAN 7 to FEB 26

10.  YOUTH SNOWBOARD (Ages 7 to 12 years)
10.1 - 1 Day Fee:  $300.00 (Select Saturday or Sunday)
10.2 - 2 Day Fee:  $500.00 (Saturday and Sunday)
Daily Schedule:  10:00 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 2:00
This program is designed for all levels of boarders in the age group covering skill development, versatility, fun and safety.

Multi Sport ProgramsJAN 7 to FEB 26

11.  YOUTH MULTI SPORT (Ages 9 to 13 years)
11.1 - 1 Day Fee:  $350.00 (Select Saturday or Sunday)
11.2 - 2 Day Fee:  $60.00 (Saturday and Sunday)
Daily Schedule:  9:30 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 2:30
Prerequisite:  Strong skier or snowboarder
A great social way to enjoy the slopes, learn and cross over from snowboard to ski to freestyle.
 
12.  TEEN CLUB MULTI SPORT (Ages 13 to 18 years)
Fee:  $340.00 - this is a 2 day morning and afternoon program
Daily Schedule:  10:00 to 11:30 and 1:00 to 2:00
Minimum group required is 8
Beginners through to Experts!  Hang out with your peers, practice, train, learn and have fun.  Ski, snowboard or freestyle are all here!  If you have just taken up the sport, you will be shown professionally how to use and maneuver safely so you can travel with your friends.  If you are already proficient, but want to improve, learn faster - yet control - on challenging terrain.  This will include terrain park, jumps, spins, some gates, glades, etc.  Final day will be a "Fun Show" and maybe a competition decided by the teens!  To be a Student Snow Sport Assistant at The Heights you must be at least 14 years of age and be registered in the Instructor Certification Training Program.
 
13.  ADULT FLEX PROGRAM Jan 14 to Feb 26
Fee:  $198.00
50 registrants required by Dec 15 to get the staff we want.  A huge hit last winter as a pilot program so we are expanding!  That is 42 hours of training available (works out to $4.16/hr) with some of the best trainers and coaches this country has to offer!
 
CHECK THIS OUT!  You show up whenever you feel like it, for whatever fits your interest and schedule.  Meet every morning 10:00 to 11:30 and every afternoon 1:00 to 2:30 every Saturday and Sunday for 7 weeks.  (We start Jan 14).  We will have 4 groups each session so we can meet all ability levels.  For those who wish, gate training will be included, introduction to the terrain park, the trees, etc.  For the timid and the sky, we will ease you into comfort on the slopes.

Please be at assembly area at least 5 minutes prior to the start of the program and honour our program times

Levels of Ability Description

BEGINNERS:
New to the activity. No previous experience.
You will learn to slide, balance, stop and turn and get on and off the chair.

NOVICE:
You can get around on green and easy blue slopes. At this level you are able to turn and stop. Still shaky with speed and any terrain changes. Spend most of your time on moderate terrain generally green trails. Able to get on and off the chair unaided if tall enough.

INTERMEDIATE:
As a skier, skies are parallel most of the turn, on green and blue slopes. You can on blue slopes with ease and control. Can navigate some black slopes and some lumpy terrain.

ADVANCED:
You are comfortable on blue and black slopes, can ski at faster speeds in control and can navigate through the bumps and glades.

EXPERT:
You can adjust to any terrain, speed or condition. You can easily adjust your technique for most efficient results and can mimic other techniques. You are looking for new ways to adjust and adapt for even better results and thrill.
